Eye-tracking skill checklist

Please ensure that you are comfortable performing all of the following skills before running an experiement using the eye-tracker.
Concept
- Can introduce eye-tracker to participants in general language
- Can identify the 3 major factors affecting tracking quality: distance, siting position, & in-focus
Operation
- Can adjust viewing distance, head position (within tracking area), camera focus, image thresholds.
- Can perform calibration, validation, and drift-correction
- Can interpret the results of calibration, validation, and drift-correction, and decide if a retry is necessary
Troubleshooting
- Can identify issues based on the tracking data (viewing distance, eye image quality, etc) and do adjustments accordingly
- Can handle software crashes
- Can handle scenarios, in which infant participants become inattentive or fussy
